EXPERIENCE THE MISSION FIELD
People can come as an individual, a couple or a group and minister in the churches and villages. There is much to see. New Mexico is the land of enchantment. There are Navajo lakes, ski resorts, canyons, beautiful land formations, reservations and much, much more. For more information about the area go to Navajo Land page.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND DONATIONS
Nice rooms with bunk beds. Large groups should bring sleeping bags. We can accommodate up to 50 now.
We recommend a donation of $20 or $25 a day per person.
Please contact us to schedule your teams mission experience. Submit the online form with the dates that you would like to come. Our summer calendar fills up quickly so plan ahead for the dates of your choice.
YOU PROVIDE
Your own pillow and toilet articles. Bring lotions, sunscreen, water bottle and lip balm for sun exposure. Also proper clothing and footwear as the evenings can be cool, even in the summer.
You can also hike up on the mesas. Women are required to wear skirts to Navajo church services on Sunday. Men are expected to wear long pants/jeans to church service.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHILE YOU ARE HERE
- Visit Navajo church services
- Visit Navajo in their hogans see how they live, and pray with them
- Eat mutton stew and fry bread
- Visit with Navajo Christian leaders about their ministry, customs, and traditions
- Spend time in the prayer room or at Prayer Rock praying for the Navajo and other needs
- Teach men, women, and children about the Lord Jesus Christ and help bring them to salvation and spiritual growth
- Use your gifts of praise, prayer-walking, drama, preaching, and encouragement as the Spirit leads
- Deliver clothing and food to out-lying areas
- visit some our local attractions : white water rafting, Chaco Canyon, Four Corners National Monument, Mesa Verde National Park, Durango Mountain, Wolf Creek, Silverton Train ride, and many more local attractions.
