TESTIMONY OF FOUNDER "Lazelle Powell"
God has always dealt strongly in the life of Lazelle Powell. At and early age she felt the need of repentance and Godly living. It was at the age of eleven she made a complete confession of faith in Jesus Christ. When Lazelle was in her early twenties she was filled with the Holy Spirit. At this time she began to hold prayer meeting's in her home. Because of her willingness she would work wherever they placed her. Whether she worked along side her papastors a Sunday School Teacher. She also served as Superintendent, Women's Missionary Union President and held many positions in the church teaching, speaking and leading others to Jesus. She loved teaching VBS leaders knowing the importance of reaching our children.
The desire to be a missionary was always in her heart. Her husband used to tease her and say, “ I know what you would do if anything ever happened to me; you would be a missionary .” Since she had seven children and felt she had her own mission field. She had the joy of seeing all of her children and her husband accept Christ as her Savior.
She was widowed in May 1978 and left home in June of 1979 and gave herself to full time ministry. She enrolled at Christ For The Nations Bible College in Dallas Texas. Lazelle graduated in 1981 was Associate of Arts Degree in Theology.
During this time is when she began her mission work traveling to war torn Lebanon, Israel and Jamaica.
In 1983 she helped organize and oversee mission work among the Navajo Indians called His Kingdom Extended. Through many trials and tribulations she proved to be steadfast and immovable. When deserted by everyone she stayed on and kept things going. She will be the first to admit that Jesus is the Lord of CFAN in Lyk, NM. He has placed unconditional love in her heart for the Navajo.
In 1992 the name His Kingdom Extended was changed to Christ for All Nations. Since this time CFAN has taught and licensed many minister's.
Janurary 2010 we had our first “probationary” mission student’s as part of Christ For The Nations ( CFNI ) third year mission program. Now we are a full time missionary training center. This is a great blessing and honor to partner with CFNI and have their students come experience on the job training as a missionary.
The vision of CFAN is being fulfilled through:
- Meeting physical and emotional needs.
- Food - We work with a large Food Distribution Center and also have a supply we purchase from donations. This opens doors for the lost besides feeding the hungry.
- Water - remote homes do not have wells many come here to get their water. We recently just completed a water station that services the water needs of many people.
- Unconditional friendship and fellowship
- Bible study courses and classes on campus and in homes camp meetings
- Tent meetings
- Special Meetings: Christmas, Thanksgiving, Feast of Tabernacles, meetings with anointed minsters.
- Vacation Bible Schools and teaching from visiting churches all over America and foreign countries.
- Volunteer labor and workers that come to lend a hand building and repairing houses and churches on the reservation and working at the mission.
